Fixed conversion questions

The fact that you guys have spare fixed wheel bikes lying around unused makes building a temporary fixie that can be transformed easily back into a sensible bike once I've realised it's a daft idea seem almost a sensible plan.

I fully appreciate your logic. However, mine trumps that - you can never have too many bikes.

That's very true and the same logic applies to spare frames up in the loft
@Dogtrousers the reason i have gone fixed is purely and simply to use as my winter use road bike fleet and both can be easily converted back to gears if need be .

For me it's great because of the low weight contrasting with my tourer.

That won't work for me. The frame of my Dawes is made from depleted uranium.
