A very interesting piece on a certain American flag here;

Its history is far more varied than I knew, especially its suggestion as the National symbol

Then again, I guess like most people of my age, I knew it mainly for 2 reasons;...

1. A record Sleeve (was it Lynrd Skynrd, & 'Free Bird'????)
2. Adorning the roof of a certain Dodge automobile on Saturday tea-time TV....

Someone did up an Austin Allegro or similar and painted it up Dukes of Hazzard style, and called it the Generally.

It was a Morris Marina, & was featured in 'Practical Classics' magazine a few years ago, with a 'big-block 1.8TC'!!!
