It's one of those things that has gone viral. The game itself is crap, really bad graphics. You just tap the screen and have to fly the bird through obsticles. Literally just up and down.

The problem is the game is very difficult and you can't get far as it's been badly designed. The writer never expected it to take off, but has decided to get rid !

The writer of the game was earning £30k a day from the ads on the game, why would he want to remove the game..............maybe its something to do with it resembling another game with pipes

My guess is the Angry Birds took the Flappy one to court for copyright infringement or something similar .
