buses are often delayed due to traffic. That's part and parcel of public transport. If people know a bus is likely to be late, i.e., known roadworks, rush hour delays, bin day... they should get an earlier bus

I feel like stopping in the middle of the road in front of our local bin lorry just to see how he likes it.
Doesn't matter how much room there is the twonk will not pull over

In no way defending the bad driving in this video, but sometimes the drivers of the bin wagons do stop in silly places, like in the middle of the road, on the corners of junctions.

They always park at the end of my street which is narrow, reducing it to one lane with very little visibility from the main road of the right lane you're forced into and similar from the right lane to the main road, while they stand around and chat and have a smoke.

Then to really take the piss, further down the road there is always a council maintenance (road sweepers?) van parked up on some zig zags obstructing the view of and from the zebra crossing. Gets on my nerves every time I see it, because while I slow right down to make sure nobody is crossing, I appear to be in a minority who bother.

Heil Company may have your solution. This is the sort of thing that goes through our neighborhood, one for garbage, one for recycling. At off hours, mind.

It doesn't help that the bin lorries are always in the middle of the road and make no attempt to aloof traffic to pass. I see it all the time, there's a huge gap you could get 2 bin lorries in and they sit in the middle of the road ! Probably some rule to say the operatives at the rear can't walk too far into the road.
