Cycling home into a strong head wind yesterday, I saw a black blob floating at head height just ahead of me, at the bandits at 2 o'clock position.
As I continued to peadal in an effort not to be blown to a stand-still, I gained on the blob and noticed that it was a large bumble bee and then had the rather bizarre sight of the bee going slowly backward as I passed it.
So finally, I've outsprinted something
