Nice
I've only ever grown poppies and pansies from seed. They were quite easy but still felt like an achievement for me.
I had a couple of attempts before I was successful. First of all the seeds are tiny the size of a pin head, so I decided to sow on top of the compost without covering them, then after the first failure I figured they needed a higher germination temperature, so I covered the seed tray with a propagator lid and placed it in south facing window, a couple of weeks later and they started to germinate. Chiltern Seeds sell seeds for quite rare and unusual plants, well worth a look.
Growing anything from seed gives me a sense of achievement, apart from the weeds on my allotment :-)
