The first punch might be heat of the moment but the second one isn't a full blown act of adrenalin, he looks like he's deliberately pulled it.
He knew exactly what he was doing.
The game wouldn't have been mentioned on the main news, not even the result. They only showed it cos of the punch. They love it when something like this happens in the worlds greatest sport.
It's a bit lightweight compared to ice hockey.

I like d the way they were explaining it on Radio 5.The first punch is explainable IMO (it's RL), he took a cheap shot and gave one in return, the second is way over the line and he needs to be banned for a long time.
Are you sure you havent got any sound, because you're not far off.Ive got no sound here at work but in my head I can hear Strauss' Waltz (Blue Danube - 2001 etc) whilst watching that.

The general concensus was that a few punches shared between consenting professional players was acceptable, But it crossed the line when you cant defend yourself.
This was the most sickening fight I can remember. In a Rugby Union, a Lions mid week game, where the opposition just go out to soften them up a bit. His own team mates end up pulling him off the guy on the ground. He punches him 11 times and gets a 7 week ban!
