Flu jab bah

That reminds me - I've been advertising flu jabs for several weeks (including right now wearing a garish yellow t-shirt to do so), but haven't got round to my own jab yet. I'll get it at lunchtime.

Got it Thursday in the end. Well, not in the end; in the arm.

Flu's a dreadful thing. Winters are bad enough when colds can turn into full-blown chest infection. I don't need flu as well.

Got this year's jab on Friday lunchtime. Slight red area today where it went in which by usual standards will turn yellow and ache for a day or two before fading.

With asthma I now always have a flu jab.

When swine flu was about I turned it down. And got swine flu - felt like I was about to die.

OMG.

Never have the jab as no medical need. Rare for me to get real flu.

Yes I've been diagnosed with Asthma for over 20 years, although I had symptoms before that that were ignored by me and the Dr. The trigger to get me diagnosed was having flu. I really did think the end had come. Afterwards my breathing was worse, so investigations were made and the diagnosis confirmed. I wouldn't dream of missing out on a flu jab, too much to lose!
