Flying Scott?? ID

I am told this is a late 40s early 50s Flying Scott.
There are no badges or markings to help .It looks as though it would have been a single speed as there are no cable stops apart from rear brake.
The frame number is G or C 009 or 909. it has brazed on mounting on rear frame for rack or bag mount ??
Its well made and very light ,I think dropouts are Simplex.
Can anyone help ?

There is, or was, a very good website on Flying Scots, with frame numbers and dates thoroughly researched. A simple Google search should produce it. I have a 1952 frame; its number is 212 178 B. Earlier and later frames were similarly numbered.

I have just spotted this thread !
There is a very good web site which I found by chance researching my unknown frame .
If you Google Flying Scot History it will take you to a very well set up site which details the history of the make along with types of lugs used , dropouts, seat stays and fork crowns.
Further information is given on where and how to identify frame numbers and date them .
Using the information I was able to identify an unidentified frame which was bought as being a Woodrup frame, but which turned out to be a 1956 Flying Scot Continental.
I hope this information helps .
