Will take it back to 8-speed Sora, have a new set of ST-R221/225s on the way, then make the mixte a 2x9. With a bit of luck, I won't need to consider a triple on the front of it. But I'll have some of the bits if needed. I do love a project!

Based in Wisbech, Cambs
in my search for a my first road bike ever I came across those brands Cube and Scott ( their frame warranty is 5 or 3 years)
Compare to Dale, Trek, Giant and Specialized who have lifetime warranty
if somebody owns them who can give me feedback on them

This is a to-do for the latter stages of recovery from spinal surgery, typing from hospital.
The bike began life with me as a course freebie from a co-op in Plymouth. It was completely stock, so far as I could tell, with Sora/Ritchey 8-speed 52-42-30 and 12-26t at the back.
Was then converted...
Amazing condition & looked after mountain bike.
It has a 1x up hope ring conversion with wide range sprockets at the rear. Upgraded clutch mech. Upgraded bars & stem/grips. XT drivetrain & brakes. Rockshox reverb 2 dropper post works flawlessly.
Got all original parts too.
It’s pretty light...
Its basically to do a 30 mile round trip commute - about 2/3 times a week and do rides across to North London from NW London (about 32 mile round trip)
- Sub eRide 6061 Alloy Frame
- Bosch Active, integrated. 400Wh PowerPack
- Suntour NEX-E25 DS QR 700C Steel Tapered Suspension Fork
Anyone got any opinions on The Scott sub active eRide 2019 Electric Crossbar Hybrid?
its reduced from £2,148 to £1,399 in rutland cycles.
I had been waiting until I could afford to get a cube one 500, then I saw this online this morning.
it would be mainly for commuting. My ride home is very...
Any opinions on these bikes?
Im going to look at one on the weekend but before parting with my cash would like some reviews
He wants £450 for it which i think is a little steep but if its a good bike ill pay it even though its 50 over my budget.
FRAME - Speedster / D.Butted 6061 Alloy...
I've just bought a Scott genius MC50 off the bay, the rear sus doesn't seem to be setup or locking out. I am assuming its borkedbut before I pay Evans to service it is there anyone in central Mcr or Rochdale way I could use a shock pump and give it a go failing that I'll go and buy one.....I'm...
I am told this is a late 40s early 50s Flying Scott.
There are no badges or markings to help .It looks as though it would have been a single speed as there are no cable stops apart from rear brake.
The frame number is G or C 009 or 909. it has brazed on mounting on rear frame for rack or bag...
I'm 5'10 and the frame is a bit small for me. The frame is a few years old now and does carry age related marks with a few chips here and there. The overall condition of the components are in really good condition. The rear gears are great, but the chain catches on the front mech in a few of the...
In May I purchased my Scott Sub Cross 10 which I love.....
Now, the frame number is on a sticker on the under side of the frame (as per the image) which as you can see has almost disintegrated  even after 6 months, and I only use water and MucOff Bike cleaner to keep it...
Looks like the 2019 version of my Scott Sub Cross 10 is now on the UK site... seems the same apart from the colour, brakes, (levers and calipers) front suspension, mine has Rockshox and £100 cheaper
Think I prefer my Black 2018...
As new condition owned from new. Has disc brakes (back brake needs re gassing or whatever they do to them).
Changed pedals for more grip.
I use my road bike more and want to get some decent wheels.
In absolute pristine condition. Very well cared for. Has a suspension lock on/off button on...
OK, this seems to be the best way to go about this subject. I'm accumulating the parts and tools at the moment, as well as the knowledge. Hopefully, I won't try anything too stupid...
The idea is not just to go flat bar, but to use this rather nice alloy frame as wide-geared lightweight hybrid...
Give it a go on the Bay
New baby and massive MOT bill mean summer build is unlikely to happen - unless I hang a 4700 groupset on it - possible.
Looking to get my money back -
The Scott R2 was 3.5k when it came out and is a serious speed machine largely due to this incredibly lightweight and...
Ok, I'm definitely aiming to do this.
The Scott has an 8-speed Sora with triple Ritchey chainring. The intention is to use the bars, levers, and shifters, if possible, from an 8-speed Altus hybrid. And to switch to the Altus triple chainring or get the matching Sora. Both are 48-38-28 compared...
Intended to build this into my summer bike but basically todays bloody MOT (and an underestimation of just how expensive babies are - should have known having had another only 19 months ago) have eaten up the vast majority of my £650 build budget so looking to potentially move it on.
A very reluctant sale, but I really do need to make some space in my garage!
So up for grabs is my totally immaculate carbon Scott CR1 Pro bike, and as people that know me will know, it’s only seen summer use (and not a lot of that to be honest) and even by today's standard this is a very light...
For Sale Scott s50 speedster , 7005 alloy frame with what I believe are carbon bladed forks. Original paint work in good clean condition with some storage and cable rubs .
