and I hope you all noticed how clean Andy ILB's bike was... that cost him a 4 pack of beer.. I should at least double my rates

Excellent pics Dave. That's either an extremely high ISO setting, or an awfully large amount of daylight. What time did you lot arrive?

It does show how busy things were rather nicely.

It rather depends on what time of year that was. At the moment sunrise is around 04:50 BST, so on the Genteel ride, we were well beyond that by the time we got to Ditchling.

Later or earlier in the year it would be darker. Last years Brighton ride in November would have had the sunrise after 7am, although I can't remember if we managed to get to the seafront before the sun was up or not.
