anybody in touch with Mike E on his epic journey?
just thought on his way tomorrow if he got to romford and wanted a rest he could come to mine for a cuppa
talking of romford I will not be able to get a train tomorrow as they are on strike:sad:
i shall think of alternatives

mike e currently residing at my friends parents house in Colchester. Made it in one day! 04:00 to 21:20 165 miles ish average 15 mph! some crap weather over the Lincolnshire Wolds this morning but after that it all went rather well, some extended rest breaks and a fantastic finish to the day along a lovely little B road between Sudbury and Colchester. A good nights sleep tonight, which I can say with almost complete certainty I will enjoy, Saturday am and early pm sightseeing in Colchester, off the bike, never visited before, then a very leisurely pootle to Romford to meet Andrij (saving as much energy as possible for the return outing to Bognor)

well done indeed - and the very good news is that the wind is going to turn southerly once we get down to the coast, pushing mike e back up to Hull!

Good news on MikeE. He is of course insane with way too much enthusiasm. His first Fnrttc was to Wittering and the mans' energy was apparent then.

Bognor is dull and overcast at the moment. Awaiting the multi coloured rainbow that is the Fnrttc peleton to illuminate and refresh it's tired and weary facade.

Talc those innertubes brethren and talc them well..........

Yesterday, Metcheck was promising a pulsating sun for our arrival at the Beach Cafe. Now there's the odd scudding cloud, but not enough to worry about. What's the latest from the cat?

I find that an endless source of irritation, I've used Metcheck for years now and have never yet been treated to this 'pulsating' sun they keep forecasting. Maybe it's time I faced reality and stopped getting my hopes up.

Weather still looks fine- not too nippy, light winds (and staying light for my ride home in the morning...!).
