It's every cyclist's patriotic duty to do their bit to put the UK back in the black. After all, today's Budget won't really help.........

A regular poster on the Commuting section of the BikeRadar forums has treated herself (and the bike shop in question) to a Viner Maxima (prices start at just, just under £4k- but you'd have a job spending "so little"). My LBS has one hanging on the wall at the mo. It's a rather unpleasant green, but if only.....

I think I've got my lights sorted now. My boss will lend me his EL530 and I'll also use my EL510.

Hopefully this should be enough.

Now I need to decide if I want to buy a new jacket with reflective bits on or just get some stickers to pimp my cheap hi-viz windproof jacket.

( That took me ages to work out. I'm also equally rubbish with personalised number plates.)

But don't worry I will be distributing sunglasses at HPC......49 people, that's almost 50 pairs needed

It depends if I'm working that day - an increasingly rare event! The options are staying with my son but he will ply me with beer and I'm so weak, cycle up or get the train in the evening. I suspect the latter and grab a pint and a pie somewhere.
If I'm really unemployable I may cycle up on the Thursday and have a day in the smoke taking in some culture.
