Hello there

conditions in the strines region to the west of sheffield yesterday aftenoon were far from pleasant, something of a violent contrast with the perfect riding conditions we had back in September dell. gusting 50mph+ winds and hail stones stinging us in the face were the order of the day, if we could contend with that i'm sure a wet ride through south london is easily doable

Inadvertent - it read more like a plea! I'm sure Davy, our resident expert on kebabs musculature can lend you his calipers and advise on the the finer points (relaxed? expanded?) of assessing CCers meatiness -should you of course require any guidance in this area...

By the looks of it, there won't be many people staying for a post ride drink.

 Well I'm sorry to pass on the company of FNRttCers, meaty or otherwise. But I have next year's dates in the diary. I intend to bring these two on the next one:

Indeed - it's a poor showing by the Lushketeers. They fall to pieces without me there to keep 'em in line. Anyone would think it was all about cycling.

Light emergency!!!

I normally borrow my bosses EL-530 to accompany my EL-510, but I forgot to remind him during the week, and now he hasn't got it with him, and I'm not working tomorrow.

I was planning on buying a Joystick in January when I'll have some extra cash, but now I don't know what to do.

Does anyone have a spare light I could borrow?

If not I may be trawling around shops tomorrow to find a good deal and put it on my credit card

both Metcheck and the BBC have had a rethink, and it is now going to be dry at the start, and wetter to the west of the A23 than the east. What's going on!

I'm turning up with one of these....

on the handlebars. Wiggins may have affected the haircut, but only I have a cycle that can outshine a Mod's lambretta. You can borrow the Diablo if you're struggling on the night, subject to the mount fit. You'll need to keep it on low to make it to dawn, but its reasonable. Because of trains, I'll be at HPC from about 23:10.

Oh lordy. 10% of me really wants to heed this warning.
I know I'm gonna regret posting this, but that submit button is oooh so tempting. Sorry all. I will not learn.

Metacheck now says no rain.....well for Bromley anyway. Waterproofs or not it will be an interesting night of guessing what the weathers gonna do next

The Meaty Ones are Tim H, Mick D and Jasper. Mick is actually quite slim, but he has that 'so you fancy your chances........?' look about him. You're very welcome to join us, Bollo.

Meaty, moi? You should have seen me when I gave up on rugby four years ago. 16.5 stone, 46" chest and a 38" waist. A guiness powered bison of a flanker. I have shed an averagely sized catwalk model since then. Meaty maybe, but a lean and succulent cut......

Thanks Bollo. I'll keep it in mind.

I'm going to try and get a Hope Vision 1 tomorrow, so hopefully I'll be ok.

Met check is showing showers at 3am in the Gatwick area, but apart from that not too bad.

BBC weather not as good. I'll go with the Met check option please

I'll be cycling in from East London via the City and I'm willing to pick up people along the way. I can easily stop at any of the following stations: Liverpool Street, Fenchurch Street, London Bridge or Cannon Street. If interested send me a PM.

Andrij, I will be coming into Liverpool st as i can't cycle all the way trying to carry the cake but i think i will be too early for you as i prefer to be in london rather than the p*ssed up sh*thole that is Romford late at night.

weather forecast has now simplified. Dry to begin with, but a heavy band of rain coming across our route from the southwest.

It was quite brisk on my commute last night, I almost swapped my mitts for gloves, so it probably means shorts and T-shirts aren't likely to be suitable wear for this evenings ride. ;)

I don't know what dellzeqq's feline authorities opinion on the weather is, but Talisker has been avoiding going out recently, and since he has an inbuilt fur coat, the weather is obviously turning a bit colder than it has been.
