If you have read what I have posted on this site to date, you shall no doubt be aware that I was involved in a serious traffic accident as a cyclist some years ago. Not that this should make any real difference.

Anyway I now want a folding cycle which would be good both on the road and on rough terrain. Well off road, but not mountain bike territory.

Unfortunately, I am not entering in the realms of Brompton - But I do have some money to spend.

Look forward to hearing from anyone that has an item gathering dust in the back of the shed or taking up space in the garage.

Many thanks for Looking

I recently bought a 2nd hand Dahon for £250, keep your eyes peeled on Ebay and with time you should be able to find one. Bromptons are good - but i wanted a better riding bike, the fold was of secondary importance to me.

I use a tern link D7 occasionally, has Mudguards and a pannier rack, great for short shopping trips and leisurely rides to the cafe. For longer rides I'd be looking for a Brompton or something similar.

To be honest the purpose of the purchase is for something that can be placed in the boot of my new car (sorry but disability just about necessitates) and for me to be able to drive out somewhere and go on a short few mile round trip ride in the country side. In contrast to rigid framed cycle to ride amongst urban traffic, where I am understandably a little apprehensive and partly because I lack some range of movement from the upper thoracic region. ie I cannot comfortably turn my head and neck to check behind me
