I think this may have been mentioned on here previously but does anyone think it will lead to more people wearing a lid, being any more convenient or indeed to a reduction in injuries?

The title goes wrong from the first few words - Falling of of bicycle, more often than not as a result of being struck my a motor vehicle, is what causes thousands of bike deaths a year.

As for the lid itself, people will either wear them or the won't. I don't forsee this changing anything in that regard.

I think I'll stick to a regular baseball cap and rely on my skull in the unlikely event of an off... after all, skulls have been protecting brains for millennia.

I agree with @Drago it's more a question of convience, it won't encourage people to wear them.
