Hi there, we are a food bank charity that provides 2000 free hot meals every day in London using food waste collected from shops. A big problem we have is the logistics of collecting food waste from the many shops in London each day. One possible solution is to see if there are cyclist commuters who cycle near to us each day who would be interested in collecting from a local shop and dropping the food off with us each morning (we would provide a trailer). We are based in the City of London, so there are many shops and many cycling commuters, but what do you think? Is this a viable solution? Given that there is not too much deviation in journey route, I'd expect the collecting of and delivering of produce should only add 15 minutes to a morning journey. What do you all think? Thanks!
