Give me some very mature Cheddar or some nice crumbly Lancashire.

Stilton is God's way of showing he really really loves-us. It is the noblest of cheeses, made by only 6 creameries in the world it's
a very complex product. But best of all it really ****es the French off, because deep down they know that nothing they make comes close.
You have my sympathy.

Can't we just enjoy what each country has to offer? It's not a competition and I'd find it difficult to choose between Stilton or, say, Roquefort.

the whole point of cheese is its rotting milk, stilton is just more rotten than some others

St Agur is also a personal favourite

I actually prefer St.Agur to Stilton, though I like both and the French do some incredibly good Goats cheeses which I never see over here.

You know Stilton is ready to eat when you have to serve it with a spoon rather than slice it with a knife.

I just love blue cheese, and haven't yet found any that I don't like.

Last year we were on holiday in France and I ate so much Bleu d'Auvergne and Bleu de Laqueille that my wife was adamant that my skin was taking on a blue-ish tinge. My suggestion that this was a deliberate ploy to offset the impact of the sun wasn't well received, and I was sent off to the doctors on my return to have a cholesterol test!
