It's my knees not the traffic I'd be worried about! Oh, and trying to run 15 miles in the first place...

I did it a few times last year, similar distance, as I was training for a marathon. It's a great training session as you get that later hit of running on 'fatigued' (?) legs on the way back. Pavements & trails are a lot less busy than the roads too,
Unfortunately works moved and its now 15 miles with some serious drags. More worthwhile as a training session on the bike, but I'd have to be in serious training mode to run it!

Well done - I also ran into work today (14miles), but then again I do run silly long distances

Started jogging in the mornings this week - managed a couple of days, muscles really not used to it, so I'm making sure I take some days off so they can adjust slowly! Will continue to do next week though!

I only really do shorter runs, 5K, 10K a few times a week.
I love running but i haven't got the mental capacity to do longer runs. Also, i haven't got youth on my side anymore.
But it sure made my normal dull friday a bit more exciting.

Couldn't do it too often anyway. Outside the usual family/work stuff I've got to get a balance between running, cycling and swimming. My running buddy would be upset if I started running without him and he can't ride a bike...
He's the one on the left

Ran the 6 miles home from work several times last year when training for the Birmingham Half Marathon.
Tonight I shall be taking home my work clothes, including shoes, lunch box (being Friday), laptop, and a whole load of paperwork. Fine on my bike, but would hate to run with that lot on my back.
Bike still wins!

Ahh youth, I remember feeling nostalgic for that once, but now I'm so old I now only have nostalgia for feeling nostalgic about my youth ^_^
For the really long stuff (ultras) I find the less mental capacity I use the better, otherwise if I thought about it I'd never do it
