For Coffee?

Not a coffee lover...the only time i drink it is vending stuff at work..which hardly counts.
I feel like a social leper whenever i travel. I look at the coffee choices in airports etc...latte, skinny, capuchino...i dunno, just give me a coffee FFS

I once asked in such a place...have you just got an instant coffee, nescafe or something ? the guy looked perplexed...i can do you an americano ?

When I saw the thread title it reminded me of being a kid, when we used to say to each other, "You for coffee?" and fall about laughing.

I think that is exactly what 'teefy was doing with the thread title.

Not overly worried, no.

Besides, I usually (although not always) empty the grounds out of the pods to put into the composter. We bin so little that I feel I can chuck a few extra bits of aluminium into the recycling bin without being too concerned.

Ah, I hadn't thought of the pods being recyclable. Some of them look plastic.

My Christmas present was a La Pavoni coffee machine. It should produce coffee to the standard and style of an italian coffee shop, but it is taking me some time to get used it and I fear that I will now need to buy a rather pricey grinder to match the coffee machine. With fresh coffee it is outstanding, but if the packet has been open for a few days, it seems to lack the same depth of flavour. Making cappucino is great - that lovely smooth foam flavoured with strong coffee.
