This is the bike I bought off eBay a few weeks ago. Now restored, including:

    • SA hub gear opened up, cleaned, lubricated and running perfectly
    • Bottom bracket, stem and wheel bearings replaced and lubed
    • Twist grip shifter dismantled, lubed and reassembled
    • All other moving parts lubricated
    • New chain
    • New Raleigh white wall tyres
This bike is in lovely condition and all original. Some surface rust on the chrome but nothing to worry about. The hub gear is stamped 1977 so that's around the time the bike was built. 40 years old and rides like it's new. It's a lovely, comfortable ride. I'd keep it if I had the space and need, but I have neither so it's got to go.

£110. Collect North Somerset or Birmingham, or I'll ship at cost.

Still for sale people. I need to free up some space for my two new projects. It's wasted sitting shiny in the shed. It needs someone to love it.

Great bike, I have done serious miles on one in Spain that was loaned to me for a couple of weeks. Its no 6kg racer, but you can strap a big bag of charcoal to the back rack and get a load of meat, veg and two bottles of Rioja in the basket. Happy days.

I've got the bag that sits on the rear rack as well, just forgot to put it on for the photo.

    I don't suppose you'd sell that separately?

I'd rather keep it with the bike as added incentive. If I can sell it without I'll let you know.
