I dunno that a cat would be daft enough to eat any....

I've split my Basil, three ways. I don't know how well it'll do, I've put 2 right next to the window, and the other is in the kitchen, which is a bit dim.

In honour of my newly acquired fresh Mediterranean herbage, I've planned to cook curry tonight.

eeeeh, it's tipping it down out there!

Well the gardening is proving hopeless this year here so far- most things are at least a month behind on the allotment and the slugs and snails are munching their way through just about everything.

I can't claim credit for this flower which I spotted today while out on a short ride. It's in a verge near a place called Bottisham hereabouts. I think it's a rare bee orchid and is stunning though my photo doesn't do it justice!

Thanks Arch - you can see that East Anglia still has a little habitat left, aside from the agri- desert!
Rain just started here- over an inch forecast for us tonight- I'll be out looking for pesky slugs to despatch!

Spoke to a bloke on the London to Brighton many years ago, on a butcher's bike with a wicker basket full of dahlias on the front.
When I asked him why, he said he wanted to take his dahlias to the seaside.
Fair enough.
