FF's Haus Lange has a certain smoothness about it that's pleasing to the eye.

The Genex tower in Belgrade gets my prize for the ugliest building:

You would think Le Corbusier was a modernist, well, he was but he could also design gingerbread houses...

I love the Schroder House... and equally love the Villa Savoye and Mies van der Rohe's Barcelona Pavillion... but try them with affordable energy saving materials and construction and the cleanliness and delicacy of the proportions are lost. It costs a lot of money to make less with more.

That's the one at St Fagan's.

I have friends who live in one, for 20+ years. They are quite spacious inside, and sit on a reasonable sized plot.

There was a complete estate of WW2 Pre-Fabs in the very south of Leeds, until about 10 years ago
They own theirs (his Mum bought it and lived in it until she died), but the ones around theirs have been demolished and the number of houses squeezed onto each plot now! None of which have any car parking spaces or outdoor gardens where neighbours used to socialise over the garden fence.
