For those of you in the West of Scotland

I saw this headline on BBC Sport at lunchtime - just happened to check it as the announcement was made. I announced it to my colleagues. The overriding reaction: "oh, right".

On the bright side, maybe it will mean more chip shops.

Why do people say "the west of Scotland", when they are referring to that little bit of Scotland that is Glasgow:?:!!

 

It's 'cause most people who get sucked onto the M8 never find their way out, they just circulate for the duration of their holiday until it they're spat out in the direction of Carlisle....
