I run two cameras.
- They very, very rarely protect me from anything in terms of the moment's riding. If a driver doesn't see a cyclist, he ain't going to notice the camera!
- They are useful for giving bus/taxi/liveried company drivers a nasty little surprise. Being caught being an arse on cam is NOT a good time to find out that your boss is a keen cyclist, or worse, that your boss's wife is a commuter cyclist with lots of stories of her own.
- They are useful when you regularly meet drivers from a particular company with low driving standards; a DVD with a dozen examples of sh*t driving concentrates the minds of senior managers.
- And it, God forbid, may prove useful in the event of a collision.
