Why not go back to the beginning and start again, see if you can make a better job of it?

If I could just erase all the bad, cringey and embarrassing memories, the kinds of things that stay with you and torment you, then yes, without a doubt!!

if you do Yoga you can develop the Yoga quiet mind and learn to control those types of thoughts and just put them to the back of your mind.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Sorry for being a bit dumb about topic but is it about accepting what has happened in you life but not dwelling on why it's happened or how things could've turned out differently?

AS per OP, Its about having a medical, procedure that could make his life in the future better, but there is one drawback, he would lose memories of certain things

Memory wise, you'd be starting all over again.
People, places, things you'd done all wiped clean.

All wiped clean i'm not too sure about but if i could select certain things then definitely!

I had a minor operation the other year,i was given something that rubs out the memory of the operation. I wonder if i was screaming out as they cut into me but i couldn't/can't remember it after being given this drug? I wasn't anesthetised before the op' so it must've been a painful experience that i simply can't remember.

No.
I'd rather die sooner knowing who I am than die later having to do all the self discovery work again.
I suppose if you are very young the procedure wouldn't impact the rest of your life too much.
This is a hypothetical question, yes? Does such a procedure actually exist? Would it be legal medical practice ?

It exists and is commonplace as well as totally legal.
No prior memories is considered a minor side effect.
