Mum took piety on me regarding PE and would often happily write me a note if I asked.

guess it was easier than me faking illness to take the day off (and better to not miss other lessons)

got accused of my brother having done my GCSE maths coursework - why would my brother spend time doing my schoolwork? that's just stupid - mum went on the warpath at that one!

also got accused of my dad having done some of my english homework "it can't be my dad, I've got all the there, they're, they are correct"

We regularly forge the signature of a colleague in a certain country when we apply for visas and we need a letter of invitation; we just print it off on his letterhead and sign it. Then we print and sign the letter from our FD accepting financial liability for the visitor etc. etc. No muppet at that country's embassy's visa section is ever going to check.

That said, last time I visited the country in question I knew there is a scam at the airport where a bogus health official demands to see your yellow fever certificate, many people don't have one or don't carry it so this is quite lucrative. So I presented my genuine certificate and the bloke said it was forged - as many are - and wouldn't give it back until I paid him $10. So he screwed me anyway.

Did it for school (I was pretty good at my Dad's signature - he had lovely handwriting and I always wanted to write the same way as he did, so tried to copy his signature a lot).

It would have worked quite well if I hadn't used a page torn out of my graph book to write the letter. The real giveaway was my own scribble and a few practice signatures on the reverse side of the sheet!
My ambitions for a career in the secret service floundered there and then.

I read Niall Quinns autobiography which described how the Ireland team would have to sign a certain number of shirts throughout the world cup for sponsors, prizes etc. Roy Keane would sulk at the back of the bus and refuse to sign anything, "fortunately the kit man did a good Roy Keane."

just the usual parents signatures for PE notes.

My mum did get called to school as i always seemed to have a dental appointment on a wednesday afternoon missing Music lessons. she confirmed I did indeed have that many appointments.

I was close to signing party wall agreements as one of the neighbours but thankfully he has returned the forms all signed .
