forth road bridge closed

All Edinburgh Commuters:

Forth Road Bridge closed to all traffic until (possibly) tomorrow afternoon due to a chemical spill

re-opened again now apparently.

Apparently a white van overturned at the north end... caused big hold ups for the cars, but did it stop bikes?

Probably was.

The west cycle path is closed these days anyway due to the bus lane construction (Northbound), and if they were stopping southbound traffic due to a chem spill I'd imagine they'd shut off the east path too.

Almost wish it was shut after going over it last night, where did that wind come from? After nearly losing control of the front wheel I decided to walk the middle section

We left the car in SQ and got the train home yesterday, then I cycled over to get it about 8.30pm. Whooooooooooooooooooooooooosh! Glad I wasn't cycling the opposite direction!

Wind still pretty strong this AM. Not looking forward to cycle home.
