Aye, for me too about that time after the disappointing Haye fight I was talking trash with a couple of friends discussing arsene wenger after copious amounts of cider then becks in the sun. Come to think of it I think an early rise would have been nigh on impossible after a 3am bender!

What music was you soco-ing to?

Well you certainly had the weather for it! Glad you all had a good ride, I was slowly frying working outside in the sun!

If any of you are free, we are hoping to do another ride from Hebden Bridge to Waddington on Sunday. I might wait a couple of days before posting about it because I don't like the look of the forecast for this week. Let's see if the coming rain blows over bt the weekend.

I haven't really written anything about this ride, but one thing I must mention ...

I had just sped down the 17% descent into Lothersdale and was whizzing along the flatter road below at about 30 mph when two Exocet missiles mad dogs came hurtling out of a garden towards me from my left!

I caught the movement in my peripheral vision and swerved, just missed hitting the wall on the RHS of the road. I squeezed through the gap between the wall and the dogs and sprinted away from them.

One dog was a Border Collie and the other was a Jack Russell, the latter almost managing to nip my leg. I wasn't so much worried about being nipped, as having one of them go under my front wheel and send me over the bars at high speed!

So, if any of you venture down Lothersdale on your bikes - watch out for the dynamic duo!
