Found yellow Marin

Have found a Yellow Marin front Sus in between on a warwickshire canal. (hydraulic discs). Will report it to police tomorrow as found just incase someone's looking for it - it looks like it's been deserted as it has been electronically tagged.

Shimano groupset.

It's still lying there - I don't want to take it home incase someone left it there on purpose and I'm just jumping to conclusions...

If the bike has been adandoned they you're within your rights to hold onto it.

You must however take reasonable steps to trace an owner. Eg. notify Police, place an ad in the local paper etc...

The Police only have limited space to store stolen/recovered property.

are you sure the owner wasn't in the bushes taking a dump and too embarrassed to come out again once he/she saw you?

Haha maybe - I'll check again on Friday... see if it's still there... Only problem that I can see is getting it back - riding a bike along a sustrans route steering another bike could be tricky... (it's much too far to walk it)... hmm bus maybe?
