thank you for your kind reply . what i was asking was whether if anyone fancied the trip, as i would like the company and i know i can do the distance. If i want a holiday i will go with the family - i treat this as a challenge and holiday comes later . i take it that you are not interested

sorry berty didn't mean to be nasty far from it ,
the trip sounds fantastic and i wish you luck with it but 100 miles a day if way beyond my ability so i wont be taking you up on it .

how much gentler ?

70 mile maximum fully loaded, but thats just me and dependent on terrain.
I notice that you see this as a challenge rather than a touring holiday which makes this a lot clearer. I misunderstood.
