Hello all,
I'm trying to find out the year in which my Freddie Grubb racing bike was built. The frame number is: 11440
Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance,

Don't know much about Freddie Grubb but found this:
'Frame numbers were a simple serial number, with no embedded codes. Up to the close of Twickenham they ran from (presumably) frame '1' c1920 to frame '16000'+ c. early 1935. The highest number I know of from this period is Grubb London 15955, ordered 31 Aug 1934 which once belonged to Terry Savage, the VCC ME (Grubb).'
More info here;

After they were bought out after going under numbering started again at 1.
Hope that helps

A few below hopefully

Great lugwork , looks like the forks have been replaced

somewhere on the internet i am sure i have seen how the head badge designs has changed over the years so that might give a few clues , any sign of a blocked off grease port on the bottom bracket shell ?

Yes, I'd read somewhere that that badge would suggest pre '63.
Not being particularly clued up can you point me in the direction of the grease port/bottom bracket shell..
