Does anyone know how to remove this freehub body?
It doesn't pull out or tap out by hitting axle with mallet so im guessing it screws off with a tool. The tool i bought to fit the notches wont work because the axle and bearings are in the way and i can't find a tool that will fit.
The wheel is a KX pro

Barnet,
It could unscrew from the non drive side using , normally, a 10mm Allen key.

So would i need to tap out the axle and bearing on the non drive side then use the right size allen key from that side?
I heard it's a 12mm allen key i need, fingers crossed it fits through the other inner bearing

Just spent 10 mins whacking the axle with a mallet to no avail. It's only a slight issue of the bearings inside the freehub body sounding dry and rattling that im trying to fix, other than that the wheel is in new condition and the wheel bearings are still perfect so im just going to leave it for now. Thanks for the help everyone.

Squirt some WD40/GT85 into it, watch the rust pour out.

Then after giving a few minutes drip/squirt some lubricating oil into it (doesn't need to be any sort of specialist oil, 3-in-1 will do). Surprising how much difference that can make.

Removal varies. I wouldn't leave it too long. 11 or 12mm hex from the non drive side is common, 10mm or so from drive side (shimano) or they just pop off.

If its a through axel, it's likely it just pops off (once the end caps are off the axel).

They quite often use an 11mm hex key - which don't exist in the majority of sets, you either have to find one separately somewhere, or get an adapter.

you can use a 5mm and a 6mm put together for an 11 and 2 of 6mm for a 12mm (or 8 & 4 etc), provided they are long enough to reach into freehub body. Obviously a proper 11 or 12mm is better but for one off it works.
