I've a set of Alexrims racer 28 with Scott hubs on my 9 speed winter bike. The rear wheel has been grumbling recently and have just renewed the cones which has improved things but it's now apparent that some of the noise was coming from the freehub body.
Is there anyway to identify the exact model replacement unit I need? I've previously removed the unit to re-lube it but think it's done. I didn't notice any model number anywhere - should there be one? Would it be stamped on and where exactly? It's held onto the hub with a separate through bolt using an 11mm hex wrench. Is it likely to be a Scott dealer part only or would there be a Shimano equivalent?
