What you going for? You getting a freesat pvr?

Yep the Humax Foxsat 500Gb. From a little bit of research it appears far easier to fit a new hard drive to a Humax box than a Sky box should I run out of space. My TV has normal freeview built in but I expect the TV to give up the ghost in 5 -7 years at a guess, maybe less so I can look at the whole setup then.

For internet capability (iplayer etc plus any firmware updates) I may need to get one of the network setups that uses the power circuit as my TV is a way away from my router but I'll think about it.

Maybe so but some LAs took the view a few decades ago that aerials were ugly and banned them!
