A question...
I've driven goodness knows how many thousands of miles up, down and across France over the years. Cameras were rare, but now there are quite a few dotted about on the motorway network.
They cropped up on a thread recently, which set me thinking. Last year, I was doing about 115 kph, so around 15 kph below the 130 kph limit as the weather was perfect. (I know it drops to 110 kph when its not so good)
As the road went downhill up ahead, the limit dropped to 90 kph, but only for lorries and vehicles towing, denoted by the accompanying sign. We went past a speed camera, having just overtaken another car, but still well under the 130 kph limit.
The camera went off, which surprised me. So the question is (I never heard anything after), does the camera go off anyway, and the pictures manually filtered to see what sort of vehicle set it off, or have I totally missed something? There was most definitley a sign indicating the application of the limit to lorries/towing vehicles.
Anyone know? Ta...
