there's a nice tale of the MP and raconteur Clement Freud travelling to China with MP Winston Churchill, (grandson of the war leader). He was slightly taken aback that Churchill had been upgrade to a much better room, and on enquiring it emerged that their ancestor respecting hosts had done so because"his grandfather was a ver great man". Freud's comment "it's not often I'm out grandfathered"
