The Quebec scene in the 1970s really had some great bands. Harmonium was one of them and the album posted in my previous post is one of the best Canadian albums ever.
Maneige was also from this city, but their music more in the fusion tradition. Their best album is Les Porches is posted below.

Got to see her Live in Birmingham a few years back,sounded amazing,not so keen on her later albums she released as she started to go more Pop than modern Country.

One of my best friends played with them when one of their founding members was seriously ill, and on a couple of their albums too. Not sure I really like them though...

Here in contrast are some other local heroes, and one of Canada's best new bands: PS I Love You - warning: this noise-punk-pop duo will not be for everyone!
