They did a whole album of Abba covers but most of them don't work as well as this.

Also the Portishead take on the same song used later in the same film was arguably even more impressive:

I can not blieve this thrad has got this far without a single inclusion by the King of parody pop Herr. JAMES LAST !

As far as I know James Last, like Andre Rieu, was intensely serious.

Anyway, this thread gives me an excuse to post my favourite video from this last week.



Yes, pedantically, it's jazz and not classical, but New Orleans jazz has more in common with classical than with modern pop.
