They all sound good.
How far is the M25 ride?
From the thread over on YACF, 150 miles or thereabouts for the lap.
They all sound good.
How far is the M25 ride?
This year's mad cap ideas so far run to :-
Another round M25 ride
Dun Run III - the prequel
Independence Day ride (educational tour of London)
The LL ride - Leicester to London which would be 100 miles which is 2 x L in Roman numerals (clever eh)
A tour of Sheppey
Some other Kentish rides
Another one, although I'm not too sure if it's really viable, ties in with the CTC AGM on Saturday 14th May down in Weymouth. I'm sure there will be some motions which will require some voting against.
I'm assuming the AGM will start at 1.30 pm like last year, although currently the CTC web page still links to the 2010 Agenda. As it's 130 miles from London, you'd have to leave at midnight on the Friday night or a bit later, if you were going to cycle there before hand, and then you're likely to fall asleep during the AGM. Which would mean you'd miss all thefunlively debate.
So, on the basis that cycling down isn't viable, my idea was to get a train in the morning either to Weymouth (or possibly somewhere further up the line to have a bit of a cycle in), attend the AGM which in any event is bound to drag on for several hours towards 5 pm, have some food, find some suitable watering hole to while away a few hours, have a bit more food, and then set off late evening and do a night ride back to London, and so arrive back perhaps 8 - 9 am just in time for the Sunday ride (possibly).

When I first glanced at this I assumed that the idea was to ride down overnight to the AGM, have a big breakfast, while away the morning in a pub, then roll into the AGM, starting off a bit rowdy at the back then gradually all nodding off during the discussions!Sounded quite funHow silly that would be!
Simon's membership has lapsed. I'll rejoin as an affiliate member if the need arises, but with scarcely more enthusiasm than Greg. You're right.
It's clear that Simon has no regard for the machinations of the CTC in having a FNRttC organised for the Friday!![]()
