Just going off at a tangent slightly, as there's still the restriction of no more than 5 non CTC members per ride, couldn't you have multiple CTC affiliates, such as the Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays (you get the gist), which run a combined ride? That way you could have 7 x 5 non CTC members.

Wouldn't that be a week argument...?

(sorry Adam - couldn't resist it!)

they've thought of that one, and the answer is no. I am investigating other exceptions (membership of other European organisations) but if two organisations, CTC and LCC using the same brokers and the same insurers can't have complementary insurance policies you've got to reckon on there being a bit of a shortfall in the imagination stakes.....which isn't a complaint because I appreciate that simplicity in these things reduces uncertainty. It's just a tad awkward.

Not a House of?

It did cross my mind. 'Flat' has been occupied by 'Erics', 'a part mental' might have fitted the bill, but I steered clear of a 'house' simply because Martins have a reputation of being a little roofless... and without foundation. Anything else is an 'oversite'.

Simon, the tandem is U/S at the moment, having had its gears mashed to pieces on the North Downs last weekend. Hopefully it'll be back on the road by the 18th, but don't hold your breath. All of which means Mrs. Hall won't be there if she has to ride solo.

And should Jan S be Jan F?
