Trikes fully fettled.
I've now got two working front brakes ...........

Now nobody do a rain dance over the next couple of days.
As I've only a couple of inch to spare going through the ford ..........

PM'ed you yesterday Simon, I'm out of Friday and gutted about it but have been knocked out by this throat infection/tonsilitis/whatever for best part of two weeks now. This morning at the doctors the nurse actually called in a bunch of her colleagues to come look at the freak's throat (so swollen that it's almost blocked)

Still, the painkillers they've given me are *really* good.

still hovering around 110..

the weather forecast has changed AGAIN (what do these people do for their money). Cold, clear, no wind.

I'll be at Paddington from 2220 if anyone fancies grabbing a cheeky pre-ride pint. Though judging by the way theclaud mercilessly drank me under the table in Whitstable, perhaps I should stick to the coffee...

I've found drinking beforehand really doesn't help me stay awake and competent on the ride, even if it;s a moderate pint or quick G&T at six o'clock after work.

I suspect this is as much about staying awake in the evening, so I can't get ready for Le Grande Depart.

This doesn't however stop me from partaking occasionally after breakfast.:biggrin:

I've finally succumbed to marital pressure. I'll be wearing bib shorts.

i need to be in cambridge on saturday for sunday's audax. i could make a little detour to southend, leave home at six, be in southend around nine, say hello to the cc folk enjoying extended breakfast, then go to cambridge. sleep over at friends', do the audax and pootle back to london. sounds like a very possible plan.

Bib shorts?!

Bloody hell- that could swing my decision to come...now Simon- one request, could you please wear the straps sort of like belt and braces over your jacket/jersey?

Come on Adrian...think of the comedy value?!! Not only do we have the yellow top, the bandaged knee, we could also now have the belt and braces!!

that would be unstylish, and is therefore not going to happen.......

mind you, the yellow and mauve Cheam and Morden top will probably put in an appearance.
