The. Hill.
Was first mentioned on page six.
We're now up to page nine.
The effect has been extraordinary.
It's a hill.
We rode / walked it in the early hours of last Saturday morning.
No one died.
But.....
But...... but...... but....
Teh content of these last few pages creates mischief in what passes for my branes.
Mischief of the Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy kind.
For example: (and I know that it is really, really wrong of me to even think about this...)
But.....
If, for instance.....
I was to cook one of you a wonderfully tasty meal.
One of the best you've ever had.
You'll love it, and wolf it down.
Only it contains poison.
Which makes you really ill.
But I'll nurse you back to health.
For which you'll be really, really thankful.
And really like me.
Then.
When you're back to full health....
I'll cook you a wonderfully tasty meal.
One of the best you've ever had
You'll love it, and wolf it down
Only it contains poison..........
Which makes you really ill.
But I'll nurse you back to health.
For which you'll be really, really thankful.
And really like me.
And so the dubious circle continues...
It's the same with hills.
I've told you about a hill I had to walk (parts of).
DZ has called it 'a monster'
Susie has made reference to it.
The forum alarm bells and sirens have been ringing, with red lights flashing ever since.
To an extraordinary extent.
It is a hill which most of you will ride up with ease.
Some of you will ride it with some effort.
A few of you might walk parts of it.
I did. (I was riding fixed)
It'll not kill you, or lose you your credibility or fertility.
In no way will it detract from the rest of the ride.
Which is superb, and easy, and predominately flat.
And, as DZ says, the view from the top is breathtaking.
What's not to like?
