I shall be cycling back to either Eastbourne or Brighton if anyone wants to join me.
I was down to 39/18 the other day, although I didn't weave around because traffic was coming the other way. I've done Ditchling on 39/17, although that gets easier as you go up. Basser gets harder. Great view, though! Oh and I've sorted out Sittingbourne.Roughly 50m climb in a little over 1km? This could make the fixie option slightly less attractive.
Oh and I've sorted out Sittingbourne. Take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
Hmm. If Simon's in the inner ring, it's probably quite steepI was down to 39/18 the other day
The other fixie it is then, provided everyone promises not to make any more hurtful remarks about the paintwork.
I've decided that, provided it is not raining, we are going over Basser Hill. If it rains it'll be a bit tough - we'll have wheelspin - but if it's clear the view will be worth it.
Some one better bring a tow-rope/oxygen cylinder for me then!![]()
Quite.

Everyone can take turns being pulled up by Martin235
Hmmm, I was going to do this with my workbike, which has 48 x 16. Is this blip bigger than Haverstock Hill? Only this one because it has a bag thingy on the back for "energy drinks" and other fancies...But. I can change should the knees arise.
Will that be enough gearing to keep up with the lead pack sprint into Whitstable?
And looking at this Basser Hill on Google maps, ive now decieded to have just one bacon roll instead of two. Steep Hill + Davy =![]()
