It's one of those difficult months for choosing correct layers. Daytime temps are still quite warm but a bit chilly at night.

I think I'll go for shorts and S/S jersey, but with a base layer and optional arm warmers. I may splash out on knee warmers for this ride as well.

I'm wearing short-sleeved jerseys to work, and then cycling home in the late evening (in fact in about ten minutes time!) using arm warmers. Adrian would approve.

I have just got in, ridden from Putney, and can report that it was warm enough to pull the arm warmers down.

Yes, last night was very warm but rest assured the weather is going to turn as the wind changes from a steady southerly to a strong northerly as a large section of low pressure sweeps in from the north west.

weather forecasts still saying dry, cold, northerly winds. There will be light rain after we reach Southend.

Cooool. Am wrapping up for this one, so for once, the 64cms, relaxed thighs wont be on show... but encased in nice shiny running lycra leggings..

Anyone want to see a pic of why I almost had to pull out of this ride?

Okay, sorry if anyone is squeemish, or about to have lunch, but here it is!!

Doctor said I had Conjunctivitus, personally, and I told them my thoughts, I am sure it was a reaction to a mossie bite. Either way, I couldnt open my eye and it was painful and extremely swollen, as you can see.

So yeh, its a first for me and luckily it happened last week, not this...

PS, am fine now so no longer a threat to anyone.. promise!!
