Looks like this could be by far the warmest ride this year!

I certainly hope so.

The last few evening commutes have been very warm, but Saturday night, cycling from Glastonbury to Stonehenge, the temperature probably dropped to 5°C, possibly lower. I found it a bit nippy, and had to zip my fleece up. I almost wished I'd worn some gloves, it was that chilly.

Others found it a little cooler than I, and wrapped up somewhat more.

Has Wow got an icicle dangling from his right fist? He must have had a very runny nose...

the draw of gainful employment on saturday afternoon may mean I have to pull out or at least leave sharpish at the end of the ride, will think on...

We'll find somewhere to have a drink and cheers you Crinkly - "Captain Cake" ;)

the BBC is now forecasting showers for Friday afternoon, but telling us it will stay dry (and very warm) overnight.

Regal weather. Bit short on the UVWXYZs and a Harriet or Hugo, Ophelia or Orville but...Arundel / Bognor last year was a sun blessed approach...;)

Unfortunately that would involve 70 quid of train fare, and spending a night stranded in London waiting for the first train home again.... another time, maybe

It's actually a plastic bag wrapped around one hand. He forgot his gloves, and the temperature overnight was low enough that it was causing him problems. The plastic bag kept some warmth in that hand, and I think he put the other one in his pocket!

Is there an electronic route available Simon?

This is the route from last August, which was the first (and only) time that the we've done Bognor recently. This includes the off-road bit along the flint path, which I don't believe is going to be used this time.

that's about it - if we have five minutes spare there'll be a small diversion this side of Faygate, and our route through Horsham and Arundel will change.

If you're all looking superfit there'll be a superduper diversion via Little Switzerland, but that does add a good 15 minutes to the ride.
