Ride 'the rest' beforehand Davy - just get stuck in and get back your bragging rights! :becool:
Remember; a 'fresh' Davywalnuts is like a pinball with a crazy flipper button- best to pre-calm thyself my son...

hahaha... needless to say, your not quite ready for a mouseketeer ride home?

Ahhh, that was the 2009 version of the DW machine... 2010 is a differant model completley..

Why not? (Unless a marriage proposal or a beer comes my way...I might) Probably my GLM still holds that lovely route back that I did solo in the pelting rain after accompanying the Brighton Pride riders last year (I think that was where a bloke in a car wanted to take Greg and I on - can't remember - and gave his unlucky children in the back seat an unwise vocabulary lesson :becool: )

Only good if there is no rain as Devils Dyke is a bit like a very long bathtub if the water is running off the adjacent fields. Well, that's what it felt like.

Well, I say I'm not riding back, which is likely a lie, and I probably am. But perhaps I won't.

Ah... who can tell. I reckon I will.

Oh really? Adam, you must have had Sugar Frosties this morning - your imagination has blossomed into a wonderful specimen...I'll just be at the back - the bouncer on the door to your nightclub. (I finish at 3am ladies ;)) I'm rubbish at pole dancing too - I look a bit slovenely

arallsopp is holding editorial meetings as I write, blue-sky thinking the book: "Martlettes Love Men With a Wry Gait, but not over the Hill" or "Thinking of Ditchling Your Husband? Yes Madeira"

PS: I'm rubbing baby oil on mine Adam - you sticking to aircraft polish or moving upmarket?

Edit: Even my avatar has run away now!

I would have thought you'd be able to last a bit longer than 3 am, Martin.

Anyway, I'll have you know ladies have been very pleased that I'm fully equipped.

In any case, it'll need more than polish to clean up this little beauty -

I can say for definate that I won't be biking back as I have an early train out of KX back home. Then again I might have to cut short the ride to Brighton as I may run out of time, or maybe not. So we could get to Brighton in good time or not, some people may ride back or not, some people may not even get to Brighton....christ this is a nightmare.

What can we say for definate, well we'll all be at HPC on Friday night at midnight, unless of course your running late.....;)

I can't ride back as I have to collect Misty for the weekend, so in effect, having a bouncing 8 year old to contend with for the rest of Saturday might be an equivilant to the sixty odd miles home!;)

I can honestly see us not getting into Brighton before 10. And if it rains and there are mechanicals even later.
WE should get down there in good time. If a bike is not up to the job, or a rider getting exhausted, then it's in to the sag wagon. I learnt a lesson when we lost 40 minutes fixing up Hermann's bike.

Bad news, Stu. Do you have any recourse?

My brother has re-threaded a Colnago BB housing. If you get really stuck why not give him a call?

Somewhat unbelievably, my bike was even dirtier this morning than when I left on Saturday morning. Twelve hours of drizzle and random potholes after darkness seemed to take it's toll.

It's not very likely it'll get any cleaner before Friday!
