Actually, I'm wrong. I was there in 2006! After raiding Wowbagger's photo's, I've found myself in August 2006 in TT's flat, consuming cake with my eyes shut.

Ah good, you're making me feel young, since my first one was only in April of 2008, when I was still living in Streatham (funnily enough only a stone throw from Chez dellzeqq). I do remember stopping in TTs later that year, and pretty much every possible flat surface had a FNRttCer sitting on it!

Getting there's not a problem with satnav in the car (it's relatively simple in any case). I would imagine that you pay at a machine inside the station before leaving rather than on entry.

I think I'll give it a shot because there is a height restriction at Park Lane which is a pain in the arse with four bikes on board.

I think you pay the man in the kiosk who's gone home by midnight - hence the concern. The Martlets van arrived, unloaded, and hung around for an hour and didn't pay a dime

Haven't seen a man in a kiosk at a car park for donkey's years.

The website says it's open 24 hours so we'll see tomorrow night. We should be on the A1 by 9pm so hopefully should be there in time to ride to HPC with the rest of you.

Having just downloaded the GPX of the route that Simon sent out earlier in his email, I realised that it was one I had uploaded a couple of years back!

I would have thought that one from last year was a more current route (since it doesn't have things like Shooters Hill, which I don't think has been on the Whitstable route for several rides).
