Still part of the team !
Good to hear. So we will be crawling to Crawley under behind Team Capt'n Suse?
I'm still up for Team Slow.

I'm getting TfL emails (don't ask my why) that say please avoid London Bridge station at all times - anyone know what it's really like, or likely to be like tomorrow evening? If I try to get a Southern train and fail, it would be too late to get to Brighton for the FCC one, so I guess I'll have to wing it.
SWMBO comes through there at about 4pm and it's not been as bad as suggested. I think at 11pm it should be ok arriving. Bear in mind they closed it on Monday to entrance, the whole station was exit only.

It seems you're the only one who wants to ride from LB so I'll meet you about 11pm on the bus station side of the station.

Caught a Southern Metro train to LBG on Monday - almost deserted. Caught a Jubillee tube from Canada Water to Baker Street yesterday. Even more deserted. Folks have fled the city. Didn't see a single person in business attire.

You can tell how bad it is when they lost the Central Line on Monday and the District Line yesterday without making waves. Normally that would jam the system. Oh and my Chiltern train into Marylebone made a special stop last night to pick up people at Wembley Stadium. Not a single person boarded!

But they did have special leaflets explaining how you could walk from Marylebone alongside images of people unable to get down the tube escalators. Someone has got it awfully wrong.

Team Slow please if I may join you at least the first part of the way. Last year I went up the A23 cycle path, boring but flat (and nice coffee stop at National Trust Nyman's). If people are going Devil's Dyke and side roads parallel to the A23 I'm up for that too. Either way I will probably break off the London route somewhere near Crawley and head for Rusper, Newdigate, Dorking and back to Leatherhead.

Hoping to be at Victoria at 11ish. Are StuartG and Sketchley still going to be there?
Am coming via Waterloo to avoid Southern rail. Is Westminster bridge/Victoria Street a good route or via Lambeth Palace Road, Lambeth bridge and Horseferry Road better?

According to GetAheadoftheGames, Westminster Bridge, Birdcage Walk and Constitution Hill are all open so that's the way I'll be coming from London Bridge.

That's my route from Waterloo. Even if I cycle up from SW20 I go beyond Vauxhall Bridge to go over Westminster Bridge because it is so peaceful.

I think this is horribly true. Caught the Overground from Haggerston and changed to the Metro to Balham with the Brommie unfolded. Not a peep out of the station staff at Haggerston, Crystal Palace and Balham. And the Overground was empty.

Hi All,

After thoroughly enjoying the FNRttC Southend edition, I decided to sign myself up for this ride, and I'm rather looking forward to it. Two quick questions if I may. Firstly, on Southend ride I carried a bag with a rather large D-lock inside which after a while was getting uncomfortable after a while, is there a way around this, like a cheap smal cable lock, as I can get everything of note in to my saddlebag and jersey?

Secondly, is there still plans for two ride back to London?

Thanks,

BCY
