sometime around 14th May. Check out the registration page on the link below.I would love to join in but I may be moving home that weekend. When's the cut off point for registration? Cheers.
well, I have news, and it's not good. The Rose Restaurant is no more. I'm going to have to find another destination - which shouldn't be too hard, but I can't promise elegant Italian tiling, hand made chairs and a terrazzo staircase.
It'll be different.
It just won't be the same without ending at the Rose, will it?
I'm sure you'd find something to suit. And it's about time you joined us again, right? What sort of rehydration is on offer?
Ugh!
Ian - put yourself out there and see what sort of return you get for peeps prepared to get up in the wee small hours, or very early.
The quality of The Rose's sausages has little to do with their demise.
It'll be different.
Embrace the change....
I encourage you...
Burnham-on-Crouch is a good alternative, brekky wise - there's a good chance that it'll also involve a boat with a proper diesel....
The cook in Burnham has had several seals of approval from here.....
What's not to like?
Hmmm?

Fair point, Ian.For sure User10571, I am eternally grateful for the Rose and it's staff for enthusiastically looking after a bunch of tired, sometimes wet, sometimes sweaty, lycra clad cyclists at very early o'clock. But having been to Southend on many a day ride, the majority of the cafes along the front are usually busy, the Rose less so. A couple of times they weren't even open when others were.
